Dear Anonymous,

In response to your comment on my previous post [which I have since deleted]:

While I appreciate and LOVE that we live in a time and place where we have:

  • The right to free speech- to have our own opinions and share them openly
  • Freedom of Religion-  the ability and right to worship how, where and what we may, even if that may be nothing at all
I accept that you may feel differently than I do about God, religion, and probably many other things.
But these are my beliefs and the things that I personally know to be true.
You have the right to share how you feel, the right to worship or to not;
but that right to speak and worship that we equally share
does not under any circumstance
give you the right to belittle me and my beliefs.

I will not attack you for our differing beliefs.
I will respect your decision to believe and worship in anything, and in nothing.
Please do the same for me and everyone else.

Thank you.

Sincerly,
Amber

I am so very grateful for this 1st amendment to the United States Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

  1. Some people. Whenever I get a comment like that, I think, "Wow. This person seems really unhappy with their own life and MUST be really jealous of mine." LOL!! Good for you for not listening to them. They obviously have nothing better to do with their lives.
