Isn't she lovely?

Addilynn decided that she wanted to cut off her hair and donate it to "Locks of Love" so a little girl "whose hair just falls out of her head" could have some of her gorgeous blonde hair. So two weekends ago when she came to visit, Addie asked if we could go. So we did. (I know, we are terrible and we should have called her Mom first to make sure, but we knew that Marie wanted it done so I assumed that it would be okay.)

Her hair measured 21 inches!

It was about this time that the nice lady who was cutting her hair found out that I was not in fact Addie's mom, but was her stepmom who had her for the weekend. I think she was more worried that I was that Marie would be upset.

She donated 11 inches and ended up chopping off a total of 14!


I think it turned out great! Addie proceded to tell me just how beautiful and "gorgeous" she is was with her new hair. She was so excited for her Mom to see (and I think Jarom was starting to fret.) But when Marie showed up she was so, so excited and she loved it!

Just this last weekend Addie came over again. Marie has been really good to let us have her almost every weekend lately which has been so wonderful! Anyway, Addie came to tell me that all her friends at school loved her hair and that even the boys did too. (Oh dear.) But she was still so happy that she had the most beautiful hair ever!

I love this sweet girl! She is my most favorite! :)
